Hawaii Award Winning Wedding Photographers ~ Mahalo!

I have been eyeing the magazine shelves of the super market for weeks now, waiting for the arrival of the new issue of Pacific Weddings Magazine. We been dying to get a glimpse of our photo that has been published in the recent Winter/Spring 2012 issue. When my eyes saw the magazine off in the distance, just pirched on the shelf so innocently, my heart jumped and I gasped. It was like the magazine was shinning like the sun off in the distance, and with so much excitement I asked the checkout clerk if I could go grab ‘a magazine’ real quick! The feeling of accomplishing a goal that you strive for was pouring through my body. Here I was walking to the shelve filled with excitement knowing that our photo has been published in this magazine that we’ve admired from day one! We are so excited to share that the Winter/Spring 2012 issue of Pacific Weddings Magazine is out and our contest winning photo is printed full page on the last page of the magazine! We want to thank the stunning couple- Brian + Cristina for being so remarkable! (Stay tuned for their fantastic wedding blog post soon.) Congrats you guys for being published too! We are so deeply grateful to everyone out there who voted for our photo – we truly thank you with all of our hearts! This is a dream come true!

Wedding Photographers Kauai ~ Kilohana ~ Leslie + Preston

We were all good friends by the time of their wedding day, as we met Leslie + Preston when they contacted us to take their engagement photos many months prior to their wedding date. We had a great time taking their pictures as they have such a way with each other that is so sweet. Leslie gets this beaming smile out of Preston that shines like the sun. They tied the knot at the Immaculate Conception Church in Lihue and then headed over to the historic Kilohana Plantation for some fun with all of their guests. We also had a great time with the bridal party on the railroad cars at Kilohana Plantation. We hope you enjoy their wedding photo story as much as we enjoyed capturing it!

Kauai Wedding Photographers ~ Trash The Dress ~ Ben + Nicole

This portrait trash the dress session with Ben + Nicole was just amazing. They tied the knot on Maui and headed to Kauai afterwards to soak up our ‘Garden Isle’ goodness. They contacted us months before to do a Trash the Dress photo session at Tunnels Beach. On the day of their photo shoot, we could not have asked for better weather. The skies were unbelievably clear with not even a cloud hugging the mountains, our normal easterly tradewinds lightened to a stand still, and the ocean graced us with calm and clear waters at Tunnels. Nicole’s dress had an abundance of fabric which was flowing with the rhythm of the ocean and made for great visuals in the water. We were excited to use our water housing to capture these underwater photos, as Ben + Nicole trashed her dress. Please enjoy and mahalos for stopping by!

Kauai Wedding Photographers ~ Sheraton Resort Poipu ~ Kim + Kant

We were lucky to meet Kim + Kant almost a year before they tied the knot while on Kauai planning their Hawaii destination wedding. They both have such great personalities, we instantly hit it off. They both work within the movie theatre industry and are great to chat movies with. When they returned to Kauai for their wedding, the island gifted them with the most gorgeous Kauai day. The skies were bright and clear with a light tradewind breeze, keeping things cool. Kim and Kant were surrounded by such amazingly loving, fun and kind family and friends, we were so deeply touched to witness such Love. Kant’s family is from Cambodia, so the ceremony was infused with some of their local traditions, like the tying of the knot. This is when their close family and friends are invited up to bring their best wishes and blessings to the couple by tying a string or ribbon around each of their wrists. They graced us with such a gift to witness the beautiful relationships of their families and we will never forget it. Many Mahalos! We wish you both many many blessings and thank you so much for sharing your beautiful day with us.
